Kogi Solid Minerals Commissioner empowers 5 musicians, 100 women, others in Gegu-Beki
The Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals, Bashir Gegu has splashed N2.5 million naira on musicians from his constituency.
The five of the top rated musicians who received half a million each are Abdulsalam Blings, Cho cho, 80-80 , Usman and General.
The commissioner equally empowered over 100 women with money to assist them with their various businesses.
The beneficiary women were drawn from the eleven wards unit of Gegu-Beki south ward in Kogi Council area of the state.
Reacting to the gesture, one of the beneficiary, Abdulsalam Blingo described the empowerment as one of its kind in the local government.
The beneficiaries promised to to deliver 100 percent votes for Ododo/Oyibo joint ticket in the Saturday governorship election.
