Kogi Specialist Hospital: Gov. Bello lauds Chinese contractor over super-standard job
Gov. Yahaya Bello of Kogi state on 30th of June 2022, in Lokoja expressed satisfaction with the Chinese contractor handling the renovation and the construction of the Kogi Specialist Hospital, Lokoja, for executing a super standard project.
Bello applauded the contractor while on an assessment visit to some ongoing projects across the state, adding that this quality of work was acceptable by the state government.
The governor, while cheering the Chinese company, Changjiang Construction Nigerian Ltd, also expressed fulfillment in the level of supervision accorded to the job by the concerned ministry.
Recall that that this same job has attracted query from Gov. Bello October last year, when he described the job as substandard.
Having given the contractor a second chance to complete the administrative block of the project, after the contract was restructured, today the story has changed and befitting edifices are constructed at the Lokoja Specialist Hospital for the people of the state.
In the Governor’s words, SATISFACTORY!! upon commencing inspection of the administrative block handled by the Chinese contractor.
Some of the projects he inspected within Lokoja metropolis included the Ganaja Junction flyover, the River Niger embankment projects at the old market, the GYB Modern Science School, Adankolo, reconstruction of the Paparanda Square- Nataco Jucntion township road, Newly installed powered Solar Street light.
The governor said that infrastructural developments amongst other yearnings of Kogites remained the priority of his administration.
