Kogi SSAs on Youth Mobilization Launch Teenage Sanitary Care Initiative

The Forum of Senior Special Assistants (SSA) to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo on Youth Mobilization has launched the Hajiya Sefinat Ododo Teenage Sanitary Care Initiative, a program aimed at providing sanitary pads to female students in secondary schools across the state.
The initiative was flagged off yesterday at the Lokoja Local Government Secretariat for Kogi West Senatorial District. The forum, led by Comrade Godwin SB Emmanuel, was warmly received by the Lokoja Local Government Chairman, Comrade Abdullahi Adamu, who commended the program and pledged his support.

Following the official flag-off, the forum proceeded to Muslim Community Secondary School, Lokoja, where sanitary pads were distributed to female students.
Addressing the students and school management, Comrade Emmanuel emphasized that the initiative aligns with the advocacy efforts of the First Lady of Kogi State, Hajiya Sefinat Ododo, in promoting menstrual hygiene among young girls.

“This initiative is designed to complement the First Lady’s advocacy for better sanitary care and to support young girls in maintaining good menstrual hygiene. We are committed to ensuring that this empowerment program reaches schools across the three senatorial districts of Kogi State,” Comrade Emmanuel stated.
The beneficiaries expressed their appreciation for the gesture, describing it as a significant support for their personal hygiene. Teachers and school authorities also lauded the initiative, noting its importance in promoting health and boosting the confidence of young female students.

The Hajiya Sefinat Ododo Teenage Sanitary Care Initiative is expected to continue its outreach to secondary schools across Kogi East and Kogi Central Senatorial Districts in the coming weeks.
