Kogi State Government Mourns Passing of Legal Luminary Yunus Ustaz Usman, SAN »

The Kogi State Government has expressed deep sorrow over the death of renowned legal figure, Mr. Yunus Ustaz Usman, SAN, describing his passing as a significant loss to the state and the nation.

In a statement signed by Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo on Wednesday, the government highlighted Mr. Usman’s outstanding contributions to the legal profession and his role in elevating the state’s reputation through his exemplary career. The government described him as one of the brightest stars in the legal profession, whose influence and impact extended far beyond Kogi State.

Governor Ododo, referred to as the “Chief Servant” of the state, paid tribute to Mr. Usman, hailing him as a brilliant and hardworking legal expert whose works spoke volumes. He urged young Kogites to draw inspiration from the late Senior Advocate of Nigeria’s attributes of excellence, integrity, and dedication to the legal profession.

The government extended its condolences to the people of Dekina Local Government Area, Mr. Usman’s family, and the Nigerian Bar Association, acknowledging the immense void his death has left. The statement emphasized that Mr. Usman’s legacy will be remembered, and his contributions to law and justice will be greatly missed.
