Kogi State Polytechnic Hails Gov Ododo, Citizens on Democracy Day

The Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman, has extended heartfelt felicitations to the Governor of Kogi State and Visitor to the Polytechnic, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, as well as the people of the state, on the occasion of the 2025 Democracy Day celebration.
In a goodwill message issued on behalf of the Management, Academic Board, staff, and students of the institution, Professor Usman commended Governor Ododo for his focused leadership and commitment to the continuity, progress, and deepening of democratic ideals in the state.
The Rector lauded the Governor’s early achievements in office, describing them as inspiring and impactful. “His early strides in consolidating on the gains of the past while charting a bold path for the future have been inspiring and impactful,” Professor Usman said.
He reaffirmed the Polytechnic’s commitment to actualising the Governor’s educational vision, noting that the institution remains dedicated to promoting academic excellence, civic responsibility, and nation-building.
“We are confident that under your visionary leadership, the Polytechnic and indeed the entire education sector will continue to thrive,” he added.
Professor Usman also used the occasion to call on citizens to remain peaceful, united, and actively engaged in the democratic process. He urged Kogites to continue harnessing the state’s diversity and collective strength in building a more prosperous state and nation.
While congratulating Governor Ododo, the people of Kogi State, and all Nigerians, the Rector prayed for lasting peace, progress, and the consolidation of democracy across the country.
