Kogi State Secretaries to Christian: Pray for Kogi State, Gov Ododo at Easter
The Association of Local Government Secretaries of Nigeria ( ALGSEN), Kogi state Chapter, have called on Christian faithful to use the opportunity of Easter celebrations to pray for the quick resolution of the security and Economic challenges confronting the nation.
The Chairman of the Association and Secretary of Idah Local Government, Hon. Alhaji Alhaji, called on Kogites and Nigerians to be mindful of the need to continue to work for peace which underscores the essence of Christ’s resurrection on Easter Sunday.
In a statement signed by the association Secretary and the Secretary of Okehi LG, Hon. ( Prince) Matthew James Omeiza on Sunday morning in Okehi, he urged all Kogites to continue praying for the peace across our nation.
The association urged Christians to imbibe the ideals of perseverance, sacrifice and commitment to the will of God which characterised the Lenten season.
The association then Congratulated Christians and all Kogite who are alive to witness this year’s Easter, reminding the faithful that “we are alive today only by God’s grace and favour and not that we are in any way special before the almighty.”
The statement reiterated the need for Kogites to pray the Governor of the state, His Excellency Alh Usman Ododo and also to grant him deserved victory in court.
We urged all Christians to work towards peace, stability and progress of our state and Nigeria, emphasizing the need for the citizens to support their leaders at all levels for the benefit of all.
The association wished The Governor and Kogites a memorable Easter celebrations.
