Kogi Teams Up With NDLEA to Tackle Drug Abuse
The Kogi State Government is committed to collaborating with the NDLEA Kogi Command to combat drug abuse within the state.
The State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Honorable Monday A. Anyebe, made this announcement during a visit to the State Commandant of NDLEA, Commander Umar Yahuza Mustapha, at the Command office in Lokoja.
Hon. Anyebe emphasized the importance of developing policies and programs to address drug abuse in the state.
He expressed the need to educate the public on the dangers of drug abuse and called for a partnership between the NDLEA Kogi Command and the state government to regulate drug abuse within the community.
The Commissioner revealed that his ministry is currently working on proposed programs to combat drug abuse among the youth.
Once approved, he said the ministry plans to involve the NDLEA Command in implementing these programs to raise awareness and prevent drug abuse.
