Korean Agency lauds Kogi govt over appointment of new NKFI Rector
Korea International Cooperation Agency has lauded the Kogi State Government over the recent appointment of Mr. Charles Toyin Williams as the new Rector of the Nigeria – Korea Friendship Institute.
In a letter signed by the Country Director, KOICA Office in Nigeria, Son Sungil, he added that the State government was commended for its continuous support to move the Institution forward.
He stated that “The official notification appointment of the new Rector Mr. Charles Toyin Williams at the Nigeria-Korea Friendship Institute of Vocational and Advanced Technology (NKFI) was well received at our office”
The Agency’s Country director asserted the it was remarkable and insightful for the state government to have aligned with the global drive towards Science and Technology adding that governor Bello was making huge investment in the sector through the construction of legacy projects that would facilitate the advancement of the science and technology learning in the state.
Mr. Sungil said that the agency hope and expectated that the new management would commence necessary action for the accreditation of the Institute, which would increase enrolment rates for the 2022/2023 academic session.
He noted that KOICA Nigeria Office used the opportunity to renew to the Kogi State Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria the assurances of its highest consideration.
He also assured the Kogi state government of it’s continued counterpart support to NKFI as the Agency was planning the commencement of it’s second phase of upgrade of the institute.
