KSCOE T Mopa Staff Float Scholarship for Prospective Students

In a rare show of solidarity and commitment to educational advancement, the staff of Kogi State College of Education (Technical), Mopa have launched a scholarship scheme to support the Provost’s admission drive. Through this initiative, over one hundred (100) prospective students have been awarded full scholarships to pursue the three-year NCE programme at the College.

The sponsorship, which cuts across both academic and non-academic staff, covers the full duration of study, reflecting the collective passion of the College community towards expanding access to quality teacher education.

During the official presentation of admission forms to the Provost, Mr. Johnson Ajibola Jimoh and Mr. Arome Omatola, who both represent the College Congregation at the Governing Council, presented the forms on behalf of the academic and non-academic staff who willingly contributed from their salaries to fund the scholarship.

They explained that the initiative was born out of appreciation for the Provost’s visionary leadership, particularly his efforts in attracting sponsors and repositioning the College within just six months of assuming office. According to them, the staff were motivated by the Provost’s passion for education and saw the gesture as a practical way to support his drive to promote technical and vocational education in Kogi State.

In his remarks, the Provost, Dr. M. K. Ibrahim, expressed deep appreciation to the staff for their thoughtfulness and generosity. He lauded their unity and collective spirit, describing the initiative as a “timely and noble act of compassion.”

Dr. Ibrahim noted that the scholarship scheme aligns perfectly with the College’s mission of empowering the youth through vocational and technical training. He assured the staff of Management’s continued commitment to their welfare and to the sustained development of the College.
