The prospects of Kogi State University, Kabba, recently established by the Governor of the State, Yahaya Bello, has received another boost as commercial institutions across the State are in a race to outpace themselves for partnership with the new institution.

A source who is not authorized to speak on the matter told the Insight News that popular commercial banks are trooping in with strong commitments to partner the new university with a wide range of offers and support including infrastructures and other products.

The source who pleaded anonymity said that representatives of the banks interested in the institution hinged their interests on its prospects which, according to them, beats any university in the region.

Theinsight.ng had earlier reported that some community development organizations had promised robust support including massive endowments, infrastructure and other sundry needs.

Interests in the new university in the past weeks have surged, sparking the belief that prominent individuals and corporate entities from the district would be of great help both for human and material resources required for its growth and development.

Meanwhile, the Insight News had reported that the governor of the state vowed to conduct the first matriculation for the university before leaving office in January, and had reportedly followed up with demonstrated commitments.
