Liberation City Pastor visits Kogi, offers prayers for sustainable peace, development
The Kogi State Government on Friday recieved in audience, Dr. Chris Okafor, Founder and Senior Pastor of the Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministry, also known as Liberation City.
The cleric who led an entourage to the official residence of the Deputy Governor in Lokoja on Friday, is in the State for an ongoing prayer crusade.
Chief Onoja, whilst welcoming the televangelist and faith healer on behalf of the Governor, recalled that he was the first external Man of God to have visited the Government in 2017 and expressed joy that he had come visiting, four years down the line.
He espoused that Kogi, despite being bordered by eleven states rests on the wordings of the Holy Bible which connotes that unless God watches over a City, the watchman watches in vain.
He hinted that Governor Bello didn’t assume leadership of the State on the machination of men, which he said, was a testament which amplifies him to secure his territories.
He stated that the Governor exemplifies fairness to the religious and ethnic plurality nature of the State by keying into his nature for those with character, capacity and capacity, regardless of their class or gender.
According to him, the nation craves for maximum security of lives and property and called for increased prayers for the unity of the Land, asking that God blesses it with a leader that gives his people a sense of belonging.
On his part, the clergyman lauded the people-driven policies of the Government and rained prayers for more insights to the New Direction Team, Kogi State and all its peoples.
Joined by the Deputy Governor to receive the Pastor and his Team were Secretary to the State Government, Dr (Mrs.) Folashade Arike Ayoade, Deputy Chief of Staff, Hon. Sunday Faleke, Friend of the Governor, Edime Amade, and other government officials.
