Local Government Secretaries from Kogi Central Pay Sallah Homage to Hon. Ali Bello in Agassa
The Association of Local Government Secretaries from Kogi central on thursday, paid a Sallah homage to the Chief of Staff to the Kogi State Governor, Hon. Ali Bello at his Agassa residence in Okene, where they also reiterated their continue support for APC led government in the state under Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
The team is comprised of the 5 Local Government Secretaries from Kogi central led by the association’s zonal chairman who is also the Secretary of Ajaokuta Local Government Hon. Abdulmalik Muktar.
Speaking at the Sallah visits, Hon. Abdulmalik Muktar described the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo as decisive in the areas of social cohesion, short and long economic emancipation, infrastructural development and youths empowerment among other areas of human capital development in the state .
He Commend the appointment of Hon. Ali Bello Atimpo who happened to be the youngest and vibrant chief of staff Kogi state has ever produced as a testimony that Kogi state under Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo will experience a tremendous breakthrough in terms of Governance and others.
Responding, Hon. Ali Bello Atimpo expressed gratitude to the Local Government Secretaries for coming to felicitate with him and the entire Muslim community in the state.
He said despite the religious differences in the state, Kogi State has continued to enjoy religious tolerance in particular and peace and harmony in general under Governor Ahmed ododo, saying ” the people of the State must stand together in solidarity with one another because poverty, disease and hunger are blind to anyone’s ethnic or religious affiliations”.
The chief of staff explained that the desire to maintain and protect the peace in our respective local Government within the State is a task that must be the responsibility of all the citizens in the State most especially at the Grassroot.
He finally admonished the LG to be watchful and help their various local government caretaker chairman and the state government to fight crime at all time.
He however commend the LG Government secretaries monthly thrifts initiatives centered in empowering the people at the Grassroot in form of direct cash Transfer.
