Lokoja LG Chairman Joins Stakeholders To Celebrate World Environmental Day »

The Executive Chairman of Lokoja Local Government Area Comrade Abdullahi Adamu today delivered an address at an event organised by the National Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (N-HYPPADEC) to commemorate the 2025 World Environmental Day.

The Council Chairman emphasized the importance of protecting our environment for future generations. He pledged to work with relevant authorities to prioritize sustainable practices and ensure responsible waste management.

He urged individuals and stakeholders to join hands with government at all levels to work towards, reducing pollution and waste, conserving natural resources and protecting biodiversity.

Comrade Abdullahi Adamu urge the residents of Lokoja Local Government to join hands in preserving the environment starting with eliminating plastic pollution.

The 2025 edition of World Environment Day is focused on putting an end to plastic pollution and bring to an end decades of plastic pollution that has seeped into every corner of the world, leaching into the water we drink, into the food we eat, and our bodies.
