May Day: Chief Onoja Salutes Kogi Workers
• Says ’We Will Continue To Prioritise Workers’ Welfare’
In commemoration of the 2022 International Workers’ Day, Kogi State Deputy Governor, Chief (Dr.) Edward Onoja has lauded workers in the State for their discipline, patience, passion, and tireless contributions to the socio-economic development of Kogi State and Nigeria despite the prevailing challenges affecting the country.
Chief Onoja who described workers in the public and private sectors as the lifeblood of any value-driven economy, assured that Government is committed to prioritizing their welfare at all levels.
He counseled that the relationship between Labour, Government, and concerned institutions should be cooperative in the overall interest of the country, citing that the Labor force of Kogi State has been instrumental to the gains of the Yahaya Bello-led Administration in the State.
The Deputy Governor espoused that the painstaking civil service reforms undertaken by Governor Bello upon assuming office has improved work processes in the State, automated government systems, and ensured quality service delivery to Kogi people.
He commended the Kogi State workers for their patriotic cooperation with the Government and other relevant institutions in the collective efforts to address societal challenges, urging them not to relent in their positive contributions to the national economy.
