Miller Dantawaye Assumes Duty as Kogi State Commissioner of Police, Vows to Tackle Crime
The newly appointed Commissioner of Police for Kogi State, CP Miller Dantawaye, has officially assumed office at the Kogi State Police Command Headquarters in Lokoja. His assumption follows the retirement of the former Commissioner, CP Bertrand Onuoha.
Addressing journalists today at the command headquarters, CP Dantawaye emphasized the need for collective effort in the fight against crime, urging residents and stakeholders to collaborate with the police to ensure a safer Kogi State.
He vowed to rid the state of criminal elements, reaffirming the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to maintaining law and order. “Security is a shared responsibility, and with the support of the people, we will make Kogi State safer for all,” he said.
The new police boss stressed his strategic approach to crime prevention, which includes strengthening intelligence gathering, community policing, and proactive engagement with various security agencies. He assured the people of Kogi State that his administration would focus on professionalism, discipline, and dedication to duty.
CP Dantawaye also commended his predecessor, CP Bertrand Onuoha, for his efforts in crime control and pledged to build on the existing security framework to enhance public safety across the state.
