Motorcycle Operators Union Pay Courtesy Visit to Lokoja CTC Chairman
The Lokoja Local Government Area Caretaker Transition Committee Chairman, Comrade Abdullahi Adamu, this afternoon received a delegation of the Motorcycle Operators Union led by its Kogi State Chairman, Comrade Ovoro Abdullahi Ovurevu in his office on courtesy visit.
Comrade Ovurevu stated that the union deemed it necessary to meet with the Local Government Chairman after their familiarisation with the Ministry of Transportation. The visit he said is to also intimate the Council Boss of the planned inauguration of Union and the constitution of local chapters across the State.
The State Chairman who conveyed the appreciation of the National President of the Union, Alhaji Olusola Sotayo to the Chairman, noted that motorcycles remain a viable choice of means of transportation and have also been a source of livelihood for many families hence the need to synergize with relevant stakeholders across the state.
Responding, the local government chairman, Comrade Abdullahi Adamu, thanked the State Executives for the visit. He urged them to abide by the rules and regulations laid down by the Kogi State Ministry of Transportation.
Motorcycle Operators Union Of Nigeria (MOUN) is a registered union with the Registrar of the Trade Union (RTU) in the Ministry of Labour and Employment.
