NAES Commissions Secretariat, Names It After Governor Yahaya Bello
The apex body of all Ebira students worldwide which is the National Association of Ebira Students yesterday commissioned her National Secretariat from whence it’ll operate. The secretariat which was commissioned by the Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State Governor on student affairs. Comrade Isah Babangida, was named the Governor Yahaya Bello Students Secretariat.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony attended by students and youth leaders across Ebira land and the state, the SSA applauded the leadership of the association for their thoughtfulness in putting up a secretariat and encouraged them to utilize the facility effectively to achieve the goal of quality representation.
He described Governor yahaya Bello as a role model to many young people, adding that the act portrayed by the President of the Association, Comr Abdulsalam Salis shows that he’s learning from the good leadership of the Governor.
President of the Association, Comr Abdulsalam Salis while speaking to pressmen appreciated Governor Yahaya Bello for his immense contribution to student welfare. He stressed that his six months in office has witnessed tremendous progress for the association through the support of the government.
“We have received enormous support and encouragement from the New Direction Government and the leadership style of the Governor has challenged us to be good ambassadors of the students and the state in general. That’s why today we the Executives of this Association have decided to name our first ever secretariat after the Governor, as a symbol of appreciation to His excellency”.
He further stressed that the continual support of the state government is needed to enable the association provide the needed dividends of quality representation to all Ebira students worldwide.
The secretariat is located opposite the Federal College of Education, Okene.
