NAKOSS Surprises Hon. Monday Anyebe with Birthday Celebration at Students’ Summit Flag-off

The National Association of Kogi State Students (NAKOSS) on Tuesday hosted the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Aridaojo Monday Anyebe, to a surprise birthday celebration during the flag-off of the Students’ Security and Communication Orientation Summit held in Lokoja.

The event, which brought together student leaders from various tertiary institutions across the state, turned into a moment of appreciation and celebration as the leadership of NAKOSS, led by its President, Comrade Adeola Samuel, presented a special recognition to the Commissioner for his support and commitment to the welfare of Kogi students.

Speaking during the surprise gesture, Comrade Adeola described Hon. Aridaojo as “a strong pillar of support and a dependable partner in progress” whose contributions to youth development and student empowerment have remained outstanding. He noted that the association deemed it necessary to honor the Commissioner in appreciation of his impact and continued engagement with students across the state.

The visibly elated Commissioner expressed gratitude to the leadership of NAKOSS for the thoughtful gesture, describing it as one of the most memorable moments of his public service journey. He reaffirmed his commitment to advancing youth and student-related programs in line with Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s agenda of inclusive governance.

It will be recalled that Hon. Aridaojo marked his birthday on October 8, 2025, with a series of activities including a novelty match, a visit to an orphanage, and a dinner organized in his honor by friends and associates.

The Students’ Security and Communication Orientation Summit, organized by NAKOSS in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, aims to sensitize students on safety consciousness, effective communication, and responsible digital engagement.

The event also featured goodwill messages and a launch of exercise books to be distributed to secondary schools students across the state.
