NANS’ JCC Kogi State Chapter Felicitates With Polytechnic Rector
…. Describes him as the right man fit for the job.
The Chairman, Joint Campus Council of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS – JCC), Kogi State chapter, Comrade Sulaiman Muhammad has hailed the Rector, Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman as the right fit for the job.
This was disclosed during a brief courtesy visit on Monday, 9th January, 2023 at the School Academic Office Complex, Main Campus, Lokoja.
Speaking during the visit, comrade Sulaiman who has served in different positions of the students’ platform in the state described Dr Usman’s appointment, confirmation and conferment of chieftaincy title of “Omaoja’Ata” as well deserved based on his antecedents and track records as a renowned academia and astute administrator replicating GYB standard.
Adding that Dr. Usman has successfully transformed the state owned Polytechnic to an enviable heights. He further stated that the Polytechnic is currently competing academically and structurally with other notable institutions in the country.
He appreciated Dr. Usman for not falling short of expectations and for fulfilling the confidence reposed in him by the State Government. He also commended him for providing Leadership and mentorship training worthy of emulation, whilst also seeking collaborative leadership guidance and support.
Responding, the Rector, Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman congratulated the NANS-JCC executives for coming out victorious at the polls. He also appreciated the newly elected NANS -JCC executives for the worthy-field visitation.
He reiterated that the successes recorded since his assumption of office were as a result of the enjoyable co-operation and support from the Management, Staff and students of the institution.
He reassured NANS-JCC executives of his fullest support at all times, noting that his administration is on 3-R Mission: Repair, Reform and Restore.
Dr. Usman advised the newly decorated NANS -JCC executives to ensure that sensitization programmes aimed at positively redefining the mind of the students and by extension complimenting the efforts of the state government and management of the institution in curtailing social vices be prioritized.
He appreciated His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, Kogi State Governor for the opportunity given to him to serve, and for providing the enabling environment for quality assurance and academic excellence.
He stated that as NANS’ JJC Chairman was uplifted to a new position, his success story would not end, expressing his excitement as the students Union took leadership responsibility seriously, he concluded.
