The Vibrant Action Ladies, a prominent women’s group in Ogori-Magongo local government area, have expressed strong reactions to the six-month suspension of Senator Natasha, the representative of Kogi Central Senatorial District. The group criticized the senator’s conduct, describing it as unethical and unbecoming of a public officeholder.

The suspension, which stemmed from what was deemed “flagrant misconduct” in the Upper Legislative Chamber, has reignited discussions about leadership accountability. The women’s group emphasized their support for the ongoing recall process, arguing that Senator Natasha’s actions had undermined the dignity of the National Assembly and the Nigerian government.

While condemning the senator’s behavior, the Vibrant Action Ladies also stressed that her actions should not be generalized to represent women in leadership. They reaffirmed their commitment to upholding the integrity of women in politics and governance, insisting that female leaders should be recognized for their diligence and adherence to due process.

The group further extended their support to Hon. Ijese Charity, Special Adviser to the Governor on Youth and Women Development, commending her role in submitting the recall document to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). They urged her to remain steadfast in her work, undeterred by critics seeking to discredit her efforts.
