New Lokoja LGA Caretaker Chairman receives Kogi Assembly Speaker, Promise to work with all Stakeholders »

The Lokoja LGA Caretaker Chairman, Comrade Abdullahi Adamu, today, received the Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Aliyu Umar Yusuf at the Local Government Secretariat, Lokoja.

The Speaker in his address stated that he has come pay a congratulatory visit and to also inform his host that the feelers from the Local Government is that the staff are excited and happy to work with him again, having worked with him in the past.

“On our own part, we will give you all the necessary support to succeed and leave a legacy,” he stressed.

The speaker described the chairman as a committed party man who has shown capacity and experience to ensure practical development for the Local Government.

He expressed appreciation to the Management and Staff of Lokoja Local Government for the warm reception and love shown to the new transition chairman, and urged them to sustain the support for the growth of Lokoja LGA.

In his response, Comrade Abdullahi Adamu expressed gratitude to the speaker for the visit and described him as a man of his words and a trusted leader.

The Chairman said, “With your continued guidance which I will continue to seek, I am sure that we will not derail. We will maintain our loyalty to our leaders and work with all stakeholders to ensure we meet with the yearning of our people.”

Comrade Adamu also thanked the State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and Governor-elect, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for giving him the opportunity to serve and promised not to betray the trust conferred on him.

He also acknowledged the backing he has received from Hon. Jibril Abu, member representing Ajaokuta State Constituency, which he does not take for granted and thanked the lawmaker for his love and support.
