New Year: Ankpa Council Chairman Donates Food Items, Drinks to Orphanage »

The Executive Chairman of Ankpa Local Government Area, Honourable (Engineer) Ademu Mohammed Yahaya, has donated essential food items and drinks to ‘Ojokideju orphanage in commemoration of the new year .

This generous donation, which includes bags of rice, beans, noodles, and soft drinks, is part of the Chairman’s efforts to support vulnerable members of the community, particularly during the holiday season.

Presenting the items on behalf of the Chairman, Alhaji Mohammed Ibrahim Danjuma, the Secretary to Ankpa Local Government Council, emphasized the importance of remembering those less fortunate during the New Year celebrations.

‘The New Year is a time for renewal and hope. As we celebrate this special occasion, it is essential that we remember those who are less fortunate. We are committed to supporting our community’s most vulnerable members and ensuring that they receive the care and support they deserve,’ he noted.

Appreciating the Chairman for the donation, Goodness, one of the orphans who spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries, thanked the Chairman, Engineer Ademu Mohammed Yahaya for the usual gesture while praying God never to make the donor’s children experience what fate has found them into today.

‘This is not the first time the Chairman is remembering with food items and cash. Countless times, he has continued to have us in mind, even prior to Christmas and New Year, and today is no exception,’ said Goodness.

Ojokideju Orphanage relies on donations and support from the community to provide for the needs of its residents. This generous donation by the Ankpa Council Chairman will go a long way in supporting the orphanage’s efforts to care for its residents.

The donation was made in the company of the Special Adviser to the Chairman on Special Duties and Political Matters, Hon. Suleiman Yakubu; the Supervisor for Health, Hon. Yunusa Sani Jibrin; and D.S.S. officers.
