Newly Appointed Okehi Transition Committee Secretary, Hon. Mathew received at Hometown in Grand Style
The newly appointed Secretary of Okehi Local Government Area Council, Hon. Mathew James Omeiza, made a triumphant return to his hometown earlier today. The Okehi Local Government secretary was received by stalwarts of the All Progressive Congress (APC), traditional rulers (Onomu of Ohiaga, Oba Oniya Of Evassa Clan, Ameborogu of Eika, and Ohi Obanyi of Iyewe Clan), and numerous supporters, including women and youths of Eika district.
His goodwill entourage included party bigwigs like Hon. Muktar Atimah, Hon. Ahmed Onsachi (Diet), RT. Hon. Malik Onuvaye, Hon. Abdulhamid Aminu Okene, Engr. Murtala Audu, Hon. Farouk Obajara, and others.
During his address, Hon. Mathew thanked the Kogi State APC leader, Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello, for finding him worthy to contribute his quota towards the progress of the New Direction government and giving him the opportunity to serve his people. He promised to remain a dedicated party member and to work tirelessly towards fostering peace, unity, and development in Okehi Local Government and Kogi State at large.
The party leaders, in their separate remarks, warmly commended Hon. Mathew for being a true party man, praising his dedication and leadership style. They expressed confidence in his ability to contribute significantly to the progress of the local government and Kogi State as a whole. The party leaders testified to his widespread grassroots acceptability, humility, and leadership abilities. They urged him to remain steadfast and diligent in discharging his duties as the Secretary of Okehi Local Government and to leave enviable footprints for others to emulate.
Hon. Muktar Atimah reiterated, “We have no doubt that you will succeed in your new role. You have made your roots proud by picking up from where your late father stopped. Your late father was a symbol of unity and development to his people when he was alive.”
