NG-CARES: Budget And Economic Planning Minister, Abubakar Bagudu Assures of Better Days Ahead for Kogi SMEs »

The Minister for Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has assured Kogi small businesses of better days ahead for their business desired growth and progress.

The minister gave the assurance while inspecting products of Kogi CARES Result Area 3 beneficiaries at an exhibition organized by the Federal Coordinating Committee of the NG-CARES as part of the one-day lecture titled: Social Protection in Nigeria, The Journey So Far” held at the Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja on Wednesday.

Senator Bagudu earlier in his remarks commended the $570 Million NG-CARES programme implemented in the 36 states and FCT for its significant role as a support mechanism across Nigeria. While complementing his earlier proposal for the expansion of the programme to cover the three tiers of government, the minister hinted the federal government’s commitment to lifting people from poverty saying that more funds has been allocated in the 2024 budget to that effect.

The Managing Director/Chief Executive officer of Kogi Enterprise Development Agency, Hajia Rekiya Onaivo Sanni who led th minister and his team to the exhibition stand of Kogi State beneficiaries of the programme thanked him for his dedication to the growth of small businesses in Nigeria.

Hajia Onaivo further assured the Kogi participating businesses at the event that the sustained commitment of her boss, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo at the state level shall see to the growth and development of Micro, small and Medium Enterprises in Kogi state.
