Nigeria, yearning for an overhaul of her socio – political and economic system: the New Direction Agenda
In Nigeria today, there’s strong desire for socio-political and economic re-engineering, as well as religious and ethnic harmony through purposeful leadership. Nigeria pride herself as the giant of Africa, but today struggling amongst the comity of nations, even though President Buhari has laid a solid foundation for the next generation. On the one hand, it is hobbled by the reign of terror and other related security challenges. And on the other hand, her people have endured successive leadership deficit, corruption and maladministration that have almost grounded the country.
As the next electioneering season draws near, Nigerians with diverse political interest are beginning to group and regroup as they yearn and push for a paradigm shift in the leadership of our dear country. A frontline political support organization known as the Nigeria New Direction Ambassadors (NNDA) has positioned itself to mobilize and massively build a pipeline of national network of politically minded young Nigerians, spreading across the country. The group identifies and aligned with Governor Yahaya Bello’s New Direction ideology poised to build a viral economy and transparent leadership that accommodates and is inclusive of everyone irrespective of their background, religious creed, ethnicity and political standing.
Nigerians want a leader that is focused and full of energy, one with unflinching will to unite this great nation across religious and tribal affinity, providing a secured and safe nation that engender development at all strata of our society. Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State fits the personality of a leader that can stir the ship of Nigeria to an enviable height. Kogi State is today adjudged to be one of the safest states in Nigeria courtesy of the leadership of Governor Yahaya Bello’s pragmatic approach to issues of security. Under his leadership, there was a radical departure from the hitherto ethno-religious politics and politicking in Kogi State, he has/ is building bridges and unifying the people across all divide. As a two term governor, and one who had served/ still serving in various capacities in his party, the All Progressive Congress (APC) national (and the country at large), no doubt have understudied and have mastered the rudiments of the national politics in Nigeria.
The sterling qualities of Governor Yahaya Bello in leadership have been laid bare as he stirs the ship of governance in Kogi State against all odds. A frontline contender to the office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria come 2023, under the APC, a two term governor, an astute administrator, an accountant by profession and a Chartered Fellow of the Association of National Accountant of Nigeria (ANAN), a successful entrepreneur, a husband, a father and a bridge builder.
Therefore, we are calling on all Nigerians and the youths in particular that we can’t afford to be complacent about these hydra-headed challenges we face as a country, but to come out massively to support a young and vibrant leader that will change the narrative and set out this country on the path of progress if elected President come 2023.
The activities of the Nigeria New Direction Ambassadors will be more visible in our various states and the Federal Capital Territory – Abuja, as the days draws near, we will be mobilizing and galvanizing support for our principal who had said “Behind the sculpturing of a man’s destiny is the unseen chisel that perfects his purpose and heralds his mission in life.”
