Northern Youth Group Backs Tantita Security, Urges FG to Sustain Engagement
A youth group under the aegis of the Northern Progressive Youth has commended Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited for its role in safeguarding Nigeria’s oil pipelines, citing notable improvements in the oil and gas sector.
The group made its position known on Friday during a press conference held at Hotel Bluebell in Lokoja, Kogi State.
Addressing journalists, the National Leader of the group, Michael Achor Joshua, praised the company for what he described as professionalism, resilience, and measurable impact in curbing crude oil theft and pipeline vandalism.

According to him, the engagement of Tantita Security Services has contributed to a significant reduction in pipeline vandalism, increased crude oil production, improved national revenue, and enhanced stability in host communities.
He stressed that the protection of oil infrastructure remains a matter of national importance that should transcend ethnic, regional, and political considerations.
The group subsequently passed a vote of confidence on the firm, expressing satisfaction with its performance in securing one of the country’s most critical assets.
The Northern Progressive Youth also called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to sustain and strengthen the Federal Government’s engagement with the security company, urging the provision of necessary support to boost its operational capacity.

They further advised the government to resist any pressure capable of undermining the progress recorded in pipeline surveillance.
In addition, the group appealed to host communities to continue cooperating with surveillance teams, while urging security agencies to maintain synergy with Tantita and Nigerians at large to support efforts aimed at protecting national assets.
Reaffirming its stance, the group noted that Nigeria’s oil pipelines are central to the nation’s economic survival and growth, insisting that initiatives yielding positive results should receive collective backing.
