Ododo Urges Unity, Hope as Christians Celebrate Easter

Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has extended warm Easter greetings to Christians in the state, Nigeria, and across the world, urging citizens to embrace unity, sacrifice, and hope in the spirit of the season.

In his Easter message issued on Saturday, the Governor described the celebration as a sacred period that reflects the triumph of light over darkness, emphasizing that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ symbolize sacrifice, love, forgiveness, and renewal.

He noted that the lessons of Easter remain relevant, particularly as the state and the nation continue to pursue unity, peace, and sustainable development. According to him, the season calls for collective responsibility, urging citizens to prioritize the common good above personal interests.

Governor Ododo reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property, strengthening security, and creating an enabling environment for growth and development. He added that his government would continue to build on achievements recorded in key sectors, including security, infrastructure, healthcare, and economic development.

The Governor commended the resilience and support of Kogi residents, describing it as a source of encouragement for his administration’s ongoing efforts to deliver good governance.

He further called on the people of the state to use the Easter period for reflection and renewed dedication to peaceful coexistence, mutual respect, and unity, regardless of differences. He also urged citizens to extend love to the less privileged and pray for the peace and progress of the state, the nation, and the leadership.

Governor Ododo wished all Christians a joyful Easter celebration, praying that the season brings renewed hope, strength, and divine blessings to every home.
