Oganenigwu PDP ward executives dumped party, move to APC »

The entire executive committee of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oganenigwu ward, Kogi State, has switched to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and declared support for Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo in the November 2023 Guber Election.

The group led by the PDP Vice Chairman Oganenugwu Ward and all principal officers alongside over 400 members thanked the governor of the state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for coming to aid by the Provision of medical facility at Odolu-Efu Efu Oganenigwu ward and other social amenities for the use of the People.

The Vice chairman who spoke for the decampees thanked the Councillor from Oganenigwu Hon. Nathaniel and the Executive Chairman of the local government for their support which led to the prompt intervention of the Governor during the herdsmen attack in the area few months ago. He told the Chairman that Oganenigwu is now 100% APC as no other opposition voice in the area.

Receiving the decampees to the APC, Prince Ishaq Shaibu Okolo, the Executive chairman of Dekina Local Government area thanked them for the excellent decision. He revealed to the decampees that, from today the decampees will enjoy all the privileges of the old members of the party, that in APC all members have equal rights. He thanked the leadership of the delegation for the courage and determination to join the APC alongside all the Principal officers of PDP and over 400 members of the PDP from 18 communities in Oganenigwu ward. The Chairman also informed the decampees that His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello is very passionate about the challenges confronting the People of Oganenigwu ward, the reason why he quickly constructed the Clinic at Odolu-Efu and other basic Infrastructural provisions to the People of Oganenigwu as well as Security of the people over the herdsmen attack few months ago. He urged the people to continue to remain peaceful and united, that The Ring Road from Iyale – Odolu Efu – Otutulu- Aloko Oganenigwu- Etutekpe is top Priority to the Governor and that very soon it will be a thing of the Past. He urged the decampees to go out and campaign for Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo peacefully ahead of the November 2023 Guber Election, that Ododo is a Kogi agenda, not any ethnic agenda.
