Olokun Greets Gov. Ododo, Barr Ozigi, Muslim Ummah on Eid-el-Adha

The Executive Chairman of Yagba West Local Government Area and Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Kogi State chapter, Hon. Tosin Olokun, has felicitated with Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barr. Salami Deedat Ozigi, and the entire Muslim Ummah on the occasion of Eid-el-Adha.

Olokun, in a goodwill message issued in Odo-Ere on Thursday, described the Eid celebration as a season of sacrifice, faith, and reflection, calling on Muslims to imbibe the virtues of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) which the festival symbolises.

He commended Governor Ododo for his leadership strides and commitment to peaceful coexistence and religious tolerance across the state.

“The celebration of Eid-el-Adha is a significant reminder of our shared values of devotion, obedience, and selflessness,” Olokun said.

“As we commemorate this sacred occasion, I extend warm greetings to His Excellency, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, whose exemplary leadership continues to promote unity and development in Kogi State. I also salute Barr. Salami Deedat Ozigi for his consistent service to the grassroots and commitment to the wellbeing of Kogites,” he added.

The ALGON chairman urged Muslims in Yagba West and across Kogi State to use the festive period to pray for sustained peace and progress in the state and the nation at large.

He reiterated his administration’s dedication to inclusive governance, service delivery, and interfaith harmony in Yagba West Local Government Area.

Olokun prayed for a joyous and peaceful celebration for all Muslim faithful and wished them Allah’s abundant blessings.
