Onoja @48: Lovers of GYB-CEDO visits orphanage homes to end 3 days activities
… Says, the best way to live an impactful life is to care for the less privileged.
To conclude activities commemorating Chief Edward Onoja’s 48th birthday, Lovers of GYB-CEDO visited orphanage homes in Anlsha-village and Adankolo to donate foodstuffs and relief materials.
At their first stop, the team distributed materials to the children of MOM Orphanage Home in Anlsha-village, Lokoja, they also spent time with the children while praying for their well-being and safety.
The team informed the children and staff of the orphanage home that they will continue to visit the facility as this gesture will not just end now.
Omale Williams who spoke on behalf of the group noted that the gesture from GYB-CEDO supporters will help to support the feeding of children at orphanage homes.
Mr Sampson Aliyu responding on behalf of the Management team of MOM Orphanage home, thanked the team for the kind gesture and by extension the Deputy Governor of Kogi State. In his remarks, he praised Chief Onoja for being a lover of children and a man with a large heart.
He further stated that aside from the group visiting the orphanage home, Chief Onoja has always made it a point of duty to visit them. He recalled Chief Onoja’s visit during his son’s birthday.
The team also made a stop at Stagi Cornerstone Orphanage Home, an arm of Yekope in Adankolo, Lokoja, where they distributed food and relief materials to children and residents of the orphanage.
Mrs Anaro Agness, who received the gifts, thanked the team and led the children in prayer for Chief Onoja and GYB-CEDO friends. She prayed to the Almighty God to continue to bless Chief Onoja and his friends in her remarks.
The tour’s highlight left Adangkolo Junction agog as books and writing materials were distributed to children and onlookers in the area.
