Dear Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo,
The People’s Servant,

Urgent Need for Eroded Road Repairs in Ponyan Yagba East LGA

I am writing to you as a concerned citizen of Ponyan to bring to your immediate attention the dire state of our town’s roads which have eventually becoming a death trap to the community. Over the past few years the primary roads connecting Ponyan and other community have deteriorated and in a sorry state with a lot of campaign promises from our States representative but have suffer a lot of neglect to such an extent that they have become a death trap for motorists, pedestrians, and all who traverse them. The condition of these roads not only poses a significant threat to the safety and well-being of our residents but also hampers economic activities of the community and the overall development of our local government area.

The roads in Ponyan are riddled with deep potholes, eroded pavements, and extensive wear and have suffer total neglect for years that makes daily commutes perilous. We as a community and other well wishers have contributed to the repair but at this present stage its totally beyond what the community can handle and to avoid critical accident on the road that may tragically resulted in loss of lives we as a community are here by calling on the peoples governor, the diligent and ready to serve the people of Kogi state in different capacity to please come to our Aid. The state of our roads is a constant source of anxiety for parents sending their children to school, for workers commuting to their jobs, and for businesses relying on transportation for goods and services.

Given the severity of the situation, I urge you, Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo the listener, the peoples servant and the Governor that prioritize the welfare of Kogite to please prioritize the repair and rehabilitation of the roads in Ponyan that serve as a center of Yagba South East linking directly with Ekiti State, and the wider South East local government area.

The community has made several appeals through various channels, but little progress has been made by the community and with the recent stage its totally beyond the community capacity. We now turn to you and other political gladiators including our representatives in the state legislature both State federal upper and lower representative to take swift and decisive action to address this critical issue and must commend the effort of our state representative Hon Obaro for bringing up the case at the state floor for immediate intervention.

Our prayer is that a comprehensive road repair and maintenance plan be developed and implemented urgently. This plan should include immediate eroded area repairs, resurfacing of damaged roads, and long-term infrastructure improvements to ensure the durability and safety of our transportation network.

The well-being of our community hinges on your response to this plea. We believe that with your intervention, the necessary resources and attention can be allocated to transform our hazardous roads into safe and reliable pathways for all. Your leadership and commitment to the welfare of your constituents are needed now more than ever.

We, the residents of Ponyan stand ready to support and collaborate with your office and relevant agencies to facilitate the total repair of our town’s roads. We trust in your dedication to public service and hope that you will respond to our call for help with the urgency and care it deserves.
