Organisers of Kogi Anti-Fraud Campaign Engage FUL VC, Eye Collaboration

The Kogi Anti-Fraud Campaign team held a strategic engagement session with the Vice Chancellor of Federal University Lokoja, Prof. Gbenga Solomon Ibileye, as part of ongoing efforts to extend the campaign’s reach into tertiary institutions across the state.

The meeting, which focused on introducing the objectives and structure of the Anti-Fraud Campaign to the university community, placed strong emphasis on student sensitization and value reorientation. The campaign team outlined the growing concerns around fraudulent activities among youths and the need for early intervention through awareness and education within academic environments.

In his response, Prof. Gbenga Solomon Ibileye warmly received the initiative and expressed firm support for its objectives. He acknowledged the relevance of the campaign in addressing pressing social challenges and pledged the institution’s cooperation in ensuring that fraudulent practices are significantly reduced within the university community.

The Vice Chancellor also provided practical guidance to the campaign team, stressing the importance of sustained engagement, structured sensitization programs, and collaboration with relevant stakeholders within the institution. Both parties agreed to strengthen their working relationship by organizing a comprehensive campus awareness program

The engagement featured key members of the campaign team, including Hon. Oluseyi Kelvin Eleta, Senior Special Assistant on Fraud and Internet Matters to the Governor; Hon. Munirat Bint Ibrahim, Senior Special Assistant on Women Entrepreneurship to the Governor; and Comrade Gbenga Adeyemi, Vice Chairman (West) of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Kogi State Chapter.

The visit forms part of a broader institutional outreach strategy aimed at building partnerships with higher institutions, ensuring ethical awareness, and promoting responsible conduct among students.

In conclusion, the meeting marked a productive step toward deepening collaboration between the Kogi Anti-Fraud Campaign and Federal University Lokoja, with a shared commitment to creating a campus environment grounded in integrity, discipline, and lawful enterprise.
