Security: Our achievements speak volumes – Gov. Bello assures NISS-EIMC delegation
Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has affirmed to the delegation of the Nigerian National Institute of security studies – Executive Intelligence Management Course – 16 (NISS-EIMC), who are on a tour to Kogi state that the numerous achievements in the state would speak volume.
Governor Bello who was represented by his Deputy, Edward Onoja commended participants of the institute for choosing Kogi state for their study while he emphasized that Kogi state remained the most proactive and security-conscious state, with awards to testify to its stability and development in infrastructures in education, healthcare, roads, and agriculture
He explained that Kogi State holds a leadership status in areas of security and other critical sectors of the Kogi economy which, according to him, have witnessed positive improvements in policy reforms since the participants last visited the State in 2021.
The governor noted that as always participants were assured of their safety in the cause of their assignments noting that the state was committed to making their stay more comfortable than their previous visit.
Head of the delegation and Deputy Commandant, National Institute for Security Studies, Mr. D. E Egbeji thanked Gov. Yahaya Bello for accepting participants to tour the state and witness first-hand his administration’s developmental strides.
He added that the delegation’s visit to Kogi state similar to other states was to share knowledge and experience, get acquainted with the developmental strides in Kogi state.
He however indicated that the visit to Kogi state is the second phase of the tour that would also involve states like Akwa Ibom, Delta, Lagos and Oyo state.
The head of the delegation noted further that their aim was to witness happenings across the nation pointing out that the theme for the tour was centred around globalization, economy and infrastructural development in Nigeria and Africa at large.
During the tour, the course participants will be visiting strategic institutions and places within the State to enable them appreciate Government’s efforts, especially in the areas of security and extensive development.
