POHAN condemns shooting of #EndSARS Protesters, calls for probe »

The National Headquarters of POHAN, the parent Umbrella body for Public Office Holders in Nigeria has condemn in strong terms the unleashing of gun fire at the End SARS protesters at the Lekki toll gate.

The condemnation was contained in a press released by the National directorate of the body.

The statement stated that unleashing gun fire on harmless protesters was not the best strategy to dislodge the protesters. It added that the protesters are young Nigerians who are only calling on the government to meet their demands in a peaceful way and its only expected of the government to address the youths and assure them of meeting their demands within a reasonable time limit.

The statement appealed to the rampaging youth to allow peace and give room for dialogue with the government and be calm while the government implement the demands. He also appealed to the rampaging youth to desist from damaging national and private structures and assets in the name of protest.
