Prof. Ogbo Celebrates Professor M.S Audu on His Birthday
The Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, Professor (Chief) Salisu Ogbo Usman, has congratulated the immediate past Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) of the Federal University Lokoja, Professor Mohammed Sulaiman Audu, on the occasion of his birthday, describing him as a brother, mentor, and a man of rare integrity.
In a goodwill message made available to journalists, Professor Ogbo praised Professor Audu’s life of selflessness, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to ethical leadership, noting that his contributions to academia and human development have often been rendered quietly and without expectation of recognition.
According to the Rector, Professor Audu has remained professionally unblemished while maintaining deep humanity in his personal relationships, a combination he described as increasingly rare in public service and academic leadership. He commended his consistency of character, strength of conscience, and ability to shoulder responsibility with humility and grace.
Professor Ogbo further noted that Professor Audu’s leadership style is marked by service without arrogance, principled decision-making, and a willingness to uplift others even at personal cost. He said the celebrant has consistently chosen honour over convenience, standing firm on principles when compromise appeared easier.
The Rector acknowledged the significant role Professor Audu has played as a guide and counselor, stating that his wisdom has shaped decisions, inspired confidence, and provided stability during challenging moments for many who have worked closely with him.
“To know Professor Audu is to understand what it truly means to be dependable, principled, and compassionate,” Professor Ogbo said, adding that the celebrant has been a source of support, clarity, and sound judgment in difficult times.
He prayed for continued good health, inner peace, fulfilment, and greater accomplishments in the years ahead, expressing confidence that Professor Audu’s positive impact would continue to multiply.
Professor Ogbo concluded by wishing the former Deputy Vice-Chancellor a joyous birthday and many more years of meaningful service to humanity and the academic community.
