Prof. Ogbo Joins Kogi Stakeholders to Endorse Tinubu, Ododo

Prof. Salisu Ogbo Usman, a prominent stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC), on Saturday, October 18, 2025, joined thousands of Kogites in endorsing the Tinubu/Ododo Continuity Agenda ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The endorsement rally, held at the Buhari Event Center in Lokoja, was both symbolic and significant.
Speaking to journalists at the venue, Prof. Usman commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his visionary leadership and steadfast implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
He emphatically lauded the President for the establishment and impact of the Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), which has provided unprecedented opportunities for Nigerian students to access higher education without financial constraints.


According to Prof. Usman, such bold interventions reflect President Tinubu’s commitment to human capital development and national prosperity.
He also commended former Governor Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, describing him as a transformational leader whose bold reforms in security, infrastructure, health, agriculture and education laid the solid foundation for sustainable growth in Kogi State.
Prof. Usman noted that the peace and institutional stability witnessed today are direct results of the visionary leadership of the former governor.
Speaking further, Prof. Usman praised the incumbent Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for consolidating on the gains of his predecessor through purposeful and people-oriented governance.

He noted the governor’s outstanding achievements in the education sector, ranging from the prompt payment of salaries to workers and settlement of gratuities, to steady infrastructural development across tertiary institutions in the state..
He described these accomplishments as clear evidence of Governor Ododo’s dedication to good governance and a key reason why his continuity in office enjoys overwhelming public support.
The endorsement rally drew an enthusiastic crowd comprising political leaders, traditional rulers, women and youth groups and students, particularly from Kogi State Polytechnic, who turned out in large numbers to express solidarity with Prof. Usman and the continuity agenda.
As the 2027 general elections approach, voices like Prof. Usman’s continues to amplify the growing call for stability, continuity, and progressive governance across Kogi State and Nigeria at large.
