Provost of KSCOET Mopa, Ibrahim Promoted to Professor
The Provost of the Kogi State College of Education (Technical), Mopa, Dr. M.K. Ibrahim, has been promoted to the rank of Professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics at the Federal University Lokoja.
His elevation was confirmed by the university’s 4th Governing Council during its 6th Regular Meeting, following an earlier recommendation approved by the Senate at its 97th meeting held on November 3, 2025.
Prof. Ibrahim, an expert in Agro and Food Economics, has built a career spanning more than a decade after his doctoral studies. He has worked as a consultant to several national and international development organizations, with research interests covering value addition economics and rural livelihood dynamics.
Staff of the College of Education (Technical), Mopa, have described the promotion as a major milestone, praising the Provost’s contributions to academic development and community advancement.
The institution’s Information and Protocol Unit, through its head, Yunusa Onalo, congratulated Prof. Ibrahim and expressed confidence that his new academic status will further strengthen his service to the state and the country’s education sector.
