Publisher Lauds Gov Ododo For Establishing Modern Media Centre

The establishment of a media centre in the Kogi State Government House by the present administration has been commended, described as another first scored by the administration of Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo.

The Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of The Nigerian Post Newspaper, Mr. Abu Michael, made the disclosure after a tour of the facilities at the centre on Tuesday.

Mr. Abu who was at the centre as part of activities to intimate the Special Adviser, Media to Kogi State Governor, Hon. Ismaila Isah on the forthcoming The Nigerian Post Newspaper Annual Public Lecture, said the Public Lecture is aimed at marking the 33 years of creation of the State.

The Publisher described the forthcoming 2024 Nigerian Post Newspaper lecture with the theme:
‘Sustaining Kogi’s Unbroken Unity – Prospects & Possibilities, This House Must Not Fall’ as the 20th in the series.

The Publisher expressed satisfaction with the facilities at the centre pointing out that it would enable real time dissemination of government activities to the people.

Mr. Abu described the initiative to establish the media Centre with the facilities in place as first of its kind by the Gov. Ododo’s administration, pointing out that the present administration has by the development scored another first in its partnership with the media to reach out to the people of the State on it people oriented activities.

The Publisher said the present administration has done so much within the first few months, said from all indication and research, the present administration remains one that has enjoyed wide acceptability in the history of the State upon assumption of office.

Mr. Abu praised the present administration of Gov Usman Ahmed Ododo for his disposition to workers and Pensioners, pointing out that the Governor has proven that he assumed office with capacity, laced with preparation to deliver democracy dividends to the people.

Mr. Abu added that Gov. Ododo remains one administration since the creation of the State that has upon assumption of office earned the confidence of the people of the State, attributed the feat to his human capital development policies.

He lauded the administration’s Youths and women Empowerment policy,
occasion by Gov. Ododo’s administration style, Mr. Abu opined has necessitated his wide acceptability, urged for a sustenance.

The Publisher showered encomium on the Special Adviser, described his down to earth disposition to media professionals, cum professionalism as one of its kind.

He assured of the partnership of the Nigerian Post Newspaper in the desimination of government activities, pointing out that as a medium that has grassroots appeal, it will continue to spot light the activities of the State Government.

In his remarks, the Special Adviser on Media, Hon. Ismaila Isah, said the efforts to establish the media Centre, supported by the State Governor, underscores his administration’s respect for the media.

He said the Centre would be officially opened in the coming days, said it would enable Media professionals access to the Internet facilities, in sending their stories in real time.

He described the administration of Gov Ododo as one that places the people of the State first, assured that more is in stock for the people in the coming days in terms of human capital development.
