Ramadan: Kogi Deputy Speaker distributes food, other items to constituents »

Deputy Speaker of Kogi State and member representing Ankpa 1 constituency, Rt. Honorable Ahmed Mohammed on Thursday 7th April, 2022 at his hometown Abache – Ankpa LGA of Kogi State, commenced the distribution of food items to constituents to aid commencement of the Ramadan fast.

According to the Deputy Speaker, he said this year’s Ramadan food distribution however stands to be different as the distribution expand beyond Ankpa district to Enjema and Ojoku district. The items distributed include rice, maize, millet, sugar, cooking and clothing materials.

He urged Muslims in Ankpa LGA to increase acts of charity, and other devotional activities that would bring the ummah closer to their creator. According to him, the holy Ramadan is an excellent opportunity for Muslims to reflect on the current challenges and pray to Almighty Allah.

Honorable Danladi Negedu who spoke on behalf of ward party chairmen Ankpa District, express gratitude to their representative whom he describes as “A core party man” who always remembers the political structure who worked for him. Hon. Danladi noted that, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Mohammed has always remain connected with them, and not because of election or political activities. He prayed to God to grant him his desires, and assure him of total support in his aspiration to represent the people of Ankpa Federal Constituency come 2023.

Hon. Hashim from Enjema 1 and representative of Ojoku 1 who spoke on behalf of their district appreciate the gesture of the Deputy Speaker and also stand solidly behind him in his political journey. “We will talk to our people, party members and we will never give up until a total victory is achieved; he said.

The distribution of food items would also be carried out across the polling units in the Ankpa LGA and also reach the widows.
