Rep. Halims Empowers Constituents With Items worth N260m

The Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Steel Development, Rep. Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali Halims has empowered over three thousand people in Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency of Kogi State.
The program which is the third of its kind featured the distribution of several items including cars, motorcycles, sewing machines, grinding machines, deep freezers etc. worth about two hundred and sixty million naira as a means to ameliorate poverty and over dependence on government for jobs.
The Federal Lawmaker, in his opening remarks thanked God for the opportunity of service given to him through the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello in particular and the people of Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Local Government Area at large for believing and trusting him with their mandate.
The Chairman of the occasion who doubles as the Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Chief Edward David Onoja, ably represented by the Kogi State All Progressives Congress(APC) Secretary, Hon. Joshua Onoja described the event as a rare act of giving back to the people, stressing that the sustained empowerment programs of Hon. Halims since his assumption of office in 2019 has greatly improved the impacts of APC on the lives and livelihood of the people of Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Local Government Areas.
The Kogi State APC Women Leader, Hajiya Hauwa T. Aduku, while making her remark commended the Federal Lawmaker for carrying both women and Youths along in his stewardship, adding that they shall reciprocate his kind gesture by massively mobilizing for his victorious emergence in both the primary and general elections.
Serving and past Political office holders, including Commissioners, Local Government Chairmen and State House of Assembly Members were part of dignitaries that graced the occasion. While speaking, the Honorable Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Hon. Gabriel Yunusa Olofu commended Rep. Halims for giving back to the people and urged him to maintain his outstanding performance in the National Assembly by attracting more dividends to the people.
Earlier in his opening remarks, the Chairman of Ankpa Local Government Area, Hon. Ibrahim Abagwu applauded the Federal Lawmaker for his outstanding performance in all areas of the society including Health, Education, Human development, Infrastructure, Agriculture, Effective legislation and egalitarianism in the period under review adding that a good term has no better reward except continuity which he expressed confidence that the party will unanimously grant him.
On his path, the Member Representing Ankpa II State Constituency at the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Alfa Momoh Rabiu called on stakeholders and intending aspirants to work round Hon. Halims for a second term in office to enable him consolidate on the gains of his current tenure and prepare the ruling APC, for a robust victory as it recorded in 2019.
The State Lawmaker added that he ordinarily desired to contest for the green chamber but being a beneficiary of intra party arrangements in 2019, it is only wise for him and others to encourage same in order for the party to not just retain power but go into the general elections with a formidable, strong and united front.
