Road infrastructure: Hon. Rabi Emaiku Commends Gov Bello On Completion of Ejule-Idah Road
The chairperson of the Kogi State Rice Farmers Association (RIFAN), Hon. Rabi Emaiku was in high spirit following the completion of Ejule-Idah road reconstruction. The road construction which was abandoned by the previous administration was later picked up by the Gov. Yahaya Bello’s administration as part of his New direction agenda of providing quality projects to all districts.
Hon. Emaiku while traveling through the road acknowledged the effort of the contractor as well as the commitment of the state government in bringing dividends of democracy to the people.
She commend Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello for his continuous support for the common man as she further stated that the road will help in the transportation of goods and services from one part to the other thereby easing the cost and the stress commuters have pass through.
According to her, the governor’s intervention would put an end to the age long suffering of residents along the route.
“This road was in a deplorable state that even commercial vehicles refused to ply as they would in the past. We have recorded several accident as a result of drivers trying to avoid potholes, but we thank God that the governor has remembered us.”
“I also want to use the medium to call on the traditional heads across the terrain to help the government in taking care of the road especially in areas where erosion are imminent so that by the time sand are excavated to the road, they can mobilize the youths to help the situation because if we are to leave everything to the government, we won’t be able to achieve much so let’s help ourselves and our dear land.” She said.
