SECURITY: Lokoja Caretaker Chairman visits Dangote, Obajana, Oshokoshoko, Akpata communities
…assures them of government plans to end all forms of insecurities in the area.
In the wake of the pockets of insecurity experienced in some communities in Oworoland, Kakanda and environs, the Caretaker Transition Chairman of Lokoja Local Government, Comrade Abdullahi Adamu, led a delegation comprised of members of the Caretaker Committee and top Management Staff of the Local Government to follow up on the recent security meeting with traditional rulers from the affected communities.
The Chairman began his tour with a visit to Dangote Plant to discuss areas of partnership and collaboration in the fight against kidnapping which is recently rearing it’s ugly heads around the area.
While addressing the Management of the plant led by Head of Human Resource, Nigeria Plants, Engr. Haruna Adinoyi, the Chairman reiterated the commitments of governor Usman Ododo to ensuring peace and security in the state. “We have been mandated to deploy every means necessary to stem the tide of these ugly incidences in our communities and we will leave no stone unturned to achieve that.”
Reacting, the representative of the Plant Manager assures the Chairman of their readiness to partner with the local government to end the recent scourge. “Your requests will be presented to the Management and I can assure you of our readiness to collaborate because security is also our top priority”.
At the home of The Bajana III of Obajana, HRH Oba (Dr) Idowu Isenibi (JP), the Chairman commended the Royal father for his roles and assures of governments readiness to rid the communities of bad elements.
Comrade Abdullahi Adamu was received at the Palace of the Obaro of Oshokoshoko by His Royal Highness, Engr James Idowu Olorunshe (Meniji II) who he commended for his proactiveness. The Chairman also visited the Palace of His Royal Highness, OBA (AMB) Dr. Fredrick D. O Balogun (JP), The Olu of Apata-oworo to confer with the Royal father.
The traditional rulers in their separate remarks commended and prayed for the Caretaker Chairman and his team for taking the bull by the horn. They assured the team of their community’s readiness to join hands with the government to find a lasting solution to the challenges.
The Chairman assures them of the plans of governor Ododo to curtail the ugly incidence and restore safety and sanity to the affected communities. “In the coming days, we will furnish you with the government’s wholistic approach that will cleanse our lands of all these criminal elements. His Excellency, remain committed to security of lives and properties” he added.
The Chairman will continue his tour to other communities.
