Security: Ohere, Echocho, Karimi other APC candidates meet with Gov. Bello
In order to keep a serious check on the recent breach of security in Ajaokuta LGA and some parts of Kogi State, the Kogi State APC candidates for the forthcoming general elections met with governor Yahaya Bello to discuss security issues and way of strengthening the quick measures put in place by the Governor to curb the ugly menace.
The team led by the Kogi Central Senatorial candidate, Engr. Abubakar Ohere, sympathized with the families of victims affected in the recent security hitch, he thanked governor Bello for his immediate response to arrest the unfortunate occurrence where measures has been put in place to permanently tackle and prevent any reoccurrence.
“As it stands today, governor Bello has responded accurately to the security hitches and the tension has been brought under control. It is pertinent, therefore, to inform the general public that they should go about their normal businesses and daily activities without fear.
“Stakeholders are working round the clock with security agencies uphold the security pedigree of the state”, Ohere added.
Governor Bello in his response assured that his administration will continue to place premium on security and advised that residents not to hide information of criminals and crime perpetrators living around their vicinity. He commended the candidates for their concern adding that security requires collective effort.
The meeting which held today in Government House, Lokoja had in attendance, Barr. Sanni Abdulraheem, Ajaokuta APC House Of Representatives Candidate, Hon. Jibril Abu Ajaokuta APC House of Assembly Candidate and others.
