Tehilah Shelter Foundation Awards Scholarships to 20 Secondary School Students in Lokoja

Tehilah Shelter Foundation has awarded scholarships to twenty secondary school students in Lokoja, as part of its Education Empowerment Programme.

The Programme Coordinator for Tehilah Shelter Foundation Global, Mr. Gospel Arinze, presented the scholarships to the students on Thursday at a ceremony held at Crowther Memorial College in Lokoja.

The beneficiaries, carefully selected from three secondary schools in the state, include ten students from Crowther Memorial College, five from Bishop Delise Secondary School, and five from UBE respectively.

In his remarks, Mr. Arinze opined that the foundation places importance on education and is committed to providing support to vulnerable individuals and families.

He urged the students to shun peer pressure and focus on their academic pursuits, as leaders of tomorrow.

According to Mr. Arinze, “Tehilah Shelter Foundation is dedicated to creating a world where no individual feels abandoned or powerless. Our vision is to provide a pathway to sustainable independence through compassion, education, and empowerment.”

“The foundation’s Education Empowerment Programme is designed to provide financial support to deserving students, enabling them to pursue their educational goals,” he added.

Mr Arinze noted that the foundation structured its operations into key modules, ranging from emergency shelter services, where they provide safe and temporary housing for individuals and families in crisis, ensuring their immediate needs for food, clothing, and safety are met, to empowerment and capacity building for others.

Also speaking at the ceremony, Venerable JC Egbeja, the Venerable in Charge of Crowther Anglican Church, lamented the decadence in society and urged the students to be mindful of their associations.

The Principal of Crowther Memorial College, Mr. Adinoyi Bajeh, commended Tehilah Shelter Foundation for its generosity and encouraged the students to make the most of the opportunity.

The scholarship awards were also witnessed by the CEO and President of Lordmatrix International Mr. Usoro Usoro, who advised the students to maintain a good relationship with their parents and see them as role models.

The beneficiaries who were seen to be excited, captured randomly, expressed appreciation to the foundation for the gesture and pledged to work hard to justify the confidence reposed in them.

The foundation presented each of the three secondary schools with two school boards.
