2023: The Future of Nigeria is in Your Hands – Chief Onoja makes special appeal to APC delegates ahead of primaries
As 2023 draws closer, Africa and indeed the rest of the world has set gaze on Nigeria as it quests to redeem a future which hangs in the balance. In 2023, voters will determine who becomes President but long before that, the party delegates would have predetermined who becomes President.
The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Chief Edward David Onoja has sent A Letter Of Appeal to all Special Delegates as the All Progressives Congress begins its presidential convention and primaries June 6-7th.
The Deputy Governor in his letter itemized some salient issues which should shape the decision of delegates in the election, adding that without consideration of region, religion, age or wealth, Yahaya Bello from North Central ticks all the dot in the type of leadership that the country needs.
The letter reads: Dear Special Delegates,
“When the time comes to choose the flag bearer of our great Party and the next President of Nigeria from amongst the very best of the best that Nigeria and the APC can offer, the job will be up to you and you cannot afford to fail the nation, posterity and yourself. To make your choice easy, please consider the following:
- A totally secured Nation.
- A Unified and integrated Nation.
- A gender balanced leader
- A detribalized leader.
- A devout believer who respects and is liberal towards others faithfuls.
- A courageous leader
- An all inclusive leader irrespective of class.
- A physically and mentally fit person for the task of Nation building.
- A leader who knows how to lead his team to victory.
- A Nigerian.
- A hands-on Chief Executive.
- A man whose word is his bond.
“Without consideration of region, religion, age or wealth.
“While most some of the aspirants tick some or almost all of these 12 key areas, Only one man clearly ticks all.
The future of Nigeria hang in your hands. 774 out of the 2,322 delegates are women. And 75% of the rest delegates are youths.
“Remember that Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, in North Central Nigeria is your man.
“A New Nigeria beckons, let’s make it happen.
