Tinubu’s 2027 North Central Coordinator Donates N10m, 100 bags of Cement for Women, Vulnerable in Ekuzi Community

… Also spearheads another N22m Donation for Unity House at AGBUDU Project in Kogi LGA.
Nigerians of Kogi State extraction, have been asked not to see development as government responsibilities alone, but tasked to join hands with the government in community development as displayed by the people of Agbudu community in Kogi LGA of the State.
This was as a total donation of N32m was raised for the development of riverine communities, to specifically support the Ekuzi Progressive Association’s Unity House Permanent site Project.
The Ekuzi Unity House Permanent site is located at Agbudu along Okpareke Okofi Road, a key project, amongst others, pioneered by community’s development efforts.
A Philanthropist, Alh Adamu Adama Hamza, Gamji of Ekuzi and the North Central Coordinator for Tinubu 2027, donated the sum of N10m as well 100 bags of Cement to widows and the less privileged in Ekuzi Community whose building were affected by flood on behalf of Hamza foundation.
Alh Adamu Adama Hamza, was at the event conferred with a honorary chieftaincy tittle as GAMJI of Ekuzi, for his several interventions in the upliftment of the riverine communities in Kogi LGA.
The Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo donated N10m, while the Senator Representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Sen. Sunday Karimi donated N5m, Engr. Bashiru Gegu, Kogi State Commissioner For Solid Minerals and Natural Resources donated N5m, Member Representing Lokoja Kogi federal Constituency, Hon. Suleiman Danladi Aguye donated N2m, were amongst other dignitaries at the event, pointed out that the challenge of nation building now amidst scarce resources competing for attention calls for collective responsibilities.
Other donation were received by the Community, praised for their communal efforts without waiting for government alone.
The Ohimegye Igu Kingdom HRM Alhaji Saidu Akawu Salihu, donated N1m on behalf of Igu Kingdom, urged the people to be United in self help projects.
Speaking at the event, Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo, represented by Engr. Bashir Gegu, Kogi State Commissioner For Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, donated N10m to Agbudu community, praised the Ekuzi Progressive Association (EPA) for its leadership in promoting development, unity, and peace among the riverine communities of Kogi Local Government Area.
Highlights of the event at the Ekuzi Progressive Association Unity House Project was the conferment of the Chieftaincy titles of Gamji Ekuzi and Madaki Kaura Ekuzi on Alh Adamu Adama Hamza, Gamji and
Engineer Muhammed Abubakar Bashir Gegu in recognition of there generosity to the community.
This was the summation of the remarks of Government and other stakeholders at this year’s launching of the Ekuzi Unity House Permanent site project held in Agbudu community of Kogi LGA on Saturday.
Gov. Ododo expressed his commitment to aiding the development of the riverine communities in Kogi LGA and other parts of the State, said he is motivated by contributions of the community and friends of the administration from the area who supported his administration in Community development and the APC during previous election.
He expressed his administration’s admiration for the peace and progress achieved in Agbudu community and other Riverine Communities of Kogi LGA, encouraged the communities to continue their efforts towards further development.
Also speaking, Sen. Sunday Karimi, Senator Representing Kogi West Senatorial District, donated N5m to the Unity House Project at AGBUDU in Kogi LGA.
Community, praised the people for their communal efforts, pointing out that the administration of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, is committed to ensuring improved well-being of people living at the grassroots.
He promised legislation that will improve on well-being of riverine communities, pointing out that the challenge of flooding associated with riverine communities is being addressed by the National Assembly in ensuring relief for affected communities.
In his personal remarks, Engineer Bashir Gegu said he remains a strong advocate for youth empowerment and community development, particularly the riverine and marginalized communities.
He reiterated his commitment to aiding development through various projects such as building hospitals, classrooms, providing job opportunities, empowering men and women, and ensuring the cessation of illegal exploitation of natural resources in Kogi State.
The Commissioner commended the riverine communities for supporting the APC during elections, expressed his intention to do everything humanly possible to support the development of riverine communities.
He emphasized on the need for communities in Kogi LG to willing Join hands and work with King Salihu Akawu Salihu, the Ohimegye Igu Koton-karfe, assuring them of continued attention, commended the Ohimegye’s efforts in uniting the people of Kogi LGA.
Also speaking, the Reps. Member, representing Lokoja Kogi federal Constituency, Hon. Suleiman Danladi Aguye, donated N2m towards Ekuzi Unity House construction, praised Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo for galvanizing the people for community development, assured of his support for self help projects.

Barr. Muhammed Tanko Musa Osuku, the Executive Chairman, Kogi State Civil Service Commission congratulated Commissioner Gegu for on his new chieftaincy title, thoughtfulness and encouraged the people of Kogi LG to support his leadership, citing its benefits to the area.
The event was attended by senior government officials, traditional rulers, and APC leadership.
