Police in Kogi State have captured a man they say is among the criminals who vandalized and looted hospital equipments worth over N1.2b in a warehouse in Lokoja on Monday, October 26th, 2020.

An amateur video showing a middle-aged man arrested by the Kogi State Commissioner of police, Mr Ede Ayuba and his men on patrol shortly after the looting incident shows several of the looted hospital equipments in the trunk of the man’s car.

Report said the man was arrested while trying to escape with the stolen items.

Authorities said there is a massive manhunt for the criminals who invaded the warehouse and carted away medical equipments, adding that some arrests have been made and the suspects would be paraded very soon.

Recall that hoodlums forcefully made their way into a storage facility housing medical equipments acquired by the Kogi State government, carting away valuables.
