The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Chief Edward Onoja today bragged that the votes that will come out from his political ward in Olamaboro will beat that of his boss, Governor Yahaya Bello in the forthcoming governorship election in Kogi State.

Onoja who is registered in polling unit 001 in Ogugu ward 3, made this boast after he was received by a mammoth crowd in the same ward during the APC ward to ward campaign in Olamaboro local government.

He said Olamaboro local government have gained a lot from the government of Yahaya Bello and being the kind of people that they are, they will always pay good with good. He said the people showed him love and made him proud when he was the Chief of Staff to the governor, saying that he knows that they will show more gratitude now that he has been elevated to the Deputy Governor position.

“Before today, my boss, Governor Yahaya Bello had made a boast saying that his ward will deliver more votes to the APC than mine and I told him that Your Excellency with all due respect, Ogugu ward 3 will make the vote from your ward look like child’s place”. I am confident that this will happen”.

“So my people, let us prove to the governor that when the people of Ogugu ward 3 wants to show appreciation, we show it in full”.

He called on women and youths of the area come out in their numbers to ensure that they deliver for the APC.
“i have boasted before my boss on your behalf, i trust that you will not let me down”. Onoja said.

They said Edward Onoja is a worthy son whom as Chief of Staff, influenced several developmental projects to Olamaboro and empowered several people from the local government, saying that it can only get better having him as the Deputy Governor.

Leaders of the ward who took time to speak said the people of Olamaboro cannot be grateful enough to Governor Yahaya Bello for bringing unimaginable development to them and for finding in their son, a confidante.

They expressed gratitude to the governor for trusting their son so much and allowing him free hand to operate, promising that they will deliver block votes to APC, one that will surpass that from the governor’s ward.

“We in Ogugu ward 3 are very happy with Governor Bello, we don’t know how else to show our gratitude other than delivering block votes to him in November 16th.
“We are sending the Deputy Governor to his boss this evening; go and tell Governor Yahaya Bello that the votes for APC from Ogugu ward 3 will trump whatever figure will come out from his ward. This is our word”.

The Administrator of Olamaboro Local Government, honorable Friday Adejoh said to whom much is given, much is expected. He admonished the people of Ogugu ward 3 to show their gratitude to God and Governor Yahaya Bello by voting massively for APC.

Engineer Sony Okoh, the director general of the campaign council in Olamaboro local government said the team was not in the ward to campaign, but to demand that they show their true character of paying good with good by rewarding APC with their block votes.

He said outside the various physical projects dotted at different parts of the ward, the people of Ogugu ward 3 can boast of having their son as the number two citizen of Kogi State. He said the ward had no excuse than to deliver.
