Workers Day: S.A Labour Commend Gov Bello for creating over 5000 Civil Service jobs in one year, salutes Kogi Workers for commitment to public service
The Special Adviser to Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello on Civil Service and Labour Matters, Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi has commended the Kogi State Governor over his employment of over five thousand Civil Servants in one year, saying it is an unassailable effort to make young people not only gainfully employed but also pursuing career path in the public service. He further commended the workers in the entire public service for their resilience, commitment and positive contribution to governance and Public service development in Kogi state.
The Special Adviser made the statement in a press release made available to the press in Lokoja on Monday, Omoluabi said Governor Yahaya Bello has made significant improvement in civil service development and job creation into Public service. He contended that the establishment of six brand new hospitals, several schools and different Government institution under Governor Yahaya Bello has created unprecedented employment opportunities into the civil service. He said the employment of over three thousand secondary school teachers in one swoop few months ago, judiciary staff, lecturers and office support staff are eloquent testimony of Giant strides of the governor under just one year.
The Special Adviser further said the sustainance of payment of federal government approved minimum wage by the Governor to state civil servants since the inception is a laudable decision made by the Governor out of very tight economic reality. He said the recent promotion list released in the last one year is another great stride the GYB led new direction Government have achieved.
Omoluabi says better days are ahead of civil servants in the state with unprecedented welfare services and packages for the state civil servants. Charging them to remain committed, professional and law abiding in the discharge of their duties, while assuring them that the government of Alh Yahaya Bello remain worker friendly and civil service driven. The Governor’s aide commanded the leadership of organized labour in the state for their solidarity, support and working partnership that have brought about atmosphere of peace and conducive working environment
