Your push for youth engagement in Agriculture, a step in right direction – Ohimegye, Maigari to Youth empowerment aide
In his extended visitation to major stakeholders across Kogi West Senatorial district, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on youth empowerment, Kogi West Hon. Amodu Ibikunle Abubakar on Thursday received commendation from Royal Fathers over his plan to prioritize agriculture as his youth empowerment agenda.
In his Separate visits to the palaces of Ohimegye Igu, Koto Karfe, His Royal Majesty, Alhaji Abulrazaq Sani Isakoto; and the Maigari of Lokoja, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Muhammadu Kabir Makarfi III both royal fathers hailed Governor Bello for his staunch believe in the youths.
While responding to the SSA at the palace, the Ohimegye applauded the SSA for making it important to pay such visit to the Traditional Stools.
He added that the SSA has identified the best sector of the economy for the task. He said youths must be encouraged to go back to Agriculture so as to fill the large gap of food insecurity in the country.
The Ohimegye advised Hon. Amodu to meet with the actual farmers one on one, expand their capacities on their respective existing crops.
The Maigari of Lokoja also said everyone must go back to farm for Nigeria to survive economically, while he also advised the SSA to also look into fishing.
The Royal Fathers thanked the SSA for coming, prayed for him, and the entire cabinet of Governor Yahaya Bello.
Hon. Amodu said he found it important to pay familiarization visits to the Royal Fathers in the 7 Local Government Areas of Kogi West, to seek their prayers, guidance and support.
He also said he has come to intimate them about the plan of his office to empower Kogi West youths via Agriculture.
